You don’t need to be a music expert or have an encyclopedic knowledge of song titles. Just bring your enthusiasm, listen closely, and get ready to have some fun!

What Is Music Bingo?

Music Bingo puts an entertaining musical twist on the traditional game of Bingo.

Instead of listening for numbers, players listen to short clips of popular songs. Each Bingo card features song titles, artists, or other musical clues rather than the usual numbered squares.

When you recognize a song that appears on your card, mark the corresponding square.

The objective is simple: Complete the required Bingo pattern before anyone else and shout BINGO!

It’s part music trivia, part Bingo, and a whole lot of fun!

How to Play Music Bingo

Music Bingo is easy to learn, even if you’ve never played before.

1. Get Your Bingo Card

Each player receives or purchases a Music Bingo card, depending on the event format.

Unlike traditional Bingo cards, these cards feature musical selections such as:

• Song titles
• Artist or band names
• Musical themes
• Other music-related clues

Each card contains a different arrangement, making every player’s experience unique.

2. Listen to the Music

Instead of calling out numbers, the host plays short clips of songs.

Listen carefully and see if you recognize the tune!

You might hear anything from a classic rock anthem to a memorable pop hit, a country favourite, or a song that takes you straight back to your younger days.

3. Mark Your Card

When you recognize a song that matches an entry on your Bingo card, mark the corresponding square.

Depending on the game, you may need to identify the song title, the artist, or another musical clue.

4. Complete the Winning Pattern

Just like traditional Bingo, each round has a specific winning pattern.

Common patterns may include:

• One Line: Complete a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line.
• Two Lines: Complete two qualifying lines.
• Four Corners: Mark all four corners of your card.
• Special Patterns: Complete a particular shape or arrangement announced by the host.
• Full Card: Mark every required square on your Bingo card.

The winning pattern will be announced before each round begins.

5. Shout BINGO!

Once you’ve completed the required pattern, don’t be shy!

Shout “BINGO!” loud enough for the host to hear!

Your card will be checked to confirm the winning combination.

Depending on the event format, prizes may be awarded to successful players.

If you can listen to music and recognize a familiar tune, you’ve already got the basics covered.

The host will explain the rules, winning patterns, and any special instructions before play begins.

The club’s house rules will apply, and all necessary instructions will be provided during the event.
